End of the Web 01/10/2012
By now we all of have heard or know of the outcome if SOPA and Protect IP come into play. But have we really thought about what will happen to our normal everyday lives. Think for a second, when you find a funny clip your first instinct is to send it to Facebook, Twitter, Email and Blog it. Had to break it to you, but there is a 50% chance that clip or video is protected and if you view it or submit it you will be liable. Dang there goes the web. So what will the web look like when this passes, mainly just words of opionions with official paid links, ads, and approved open domain video. Another words it's going to suck. Hey don't worry it won't pass would it? Think again, it's going to get nasty before it gets better. Immagine how much not interesting our lives will become when we can discuss anything without fear of breaking the law. What will the outcome bring, nothing but more trouble. In the old days, when alchohol became illegal therew as the probition people were sneaking it in and selling it through very secure channels. I am willing to bet you, the same group of people that created torrents, encryption among other things are working on a backup plan. This is just one scenario that is floating around. The purpose of these bills are strickly to scare the leaving hell out of you and to put order back into a place where people make money. Clear and simple. THis has nothing to do with protection of any sort. What we will loose is everything we hold dear "Our Freedom", "Our Creativity".
